We Believe
- We accept that God is a trinity of three persons in one Godhead as shown in the Bible. We acknowledge the historic faith of the Good News of Jesus Christ found in the Bible.
- We regard the following teachings as crucial to understanding our faith. These should result in love to each other, practical Christian service and concern to tell out the Good News of Jesus Christ:
- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit reign supreme and are undeservedly kind in creating all things, providing for the creation, revealing themselves to us, redeeming us and judging us at the end of this world.
- God inspired the Bible and therefore it is entirely trustworthy and has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
- All mankind has fallen from the original created state. Therefore we are all sinful and guilty, and deserve God's anger and condemnation.
- Jesus, the Son of God, was born on earth. He was sacrificed in our place as the complete and only way for us to be freed from the guilt and power of sin, and from its eternal consequences.
- If we have faith in Jesus Christ who died on the cross for us and rose from the dead, then because of God’s kindness, which we do not deserve, God regards us as if we had not sinned.
- The Holy Spirit of God illuminates us, regenerates us, lives within us and makes us holy.
- All believers are priests. They form the universal Church, a Body with Christ as its Head. The Church is committed by His command to proclaim the Good News of Jesus throughout the world.
- We expect the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory.
